Description

TRAMTEATRET – TRAMFART (1978)

Tramteatret was a Norwegian, politically radical theater group that was active in the 70s and 80s. The group was founded in 1976 on the initiative of Liv Aakvik, after a nucleus left the Studentersamfunnets Theater at Chateau Neuf in Oslo. In the band's objective paragraph, it is stated that the theater shall stand on the side of the weak and oppressed against the oppressors and reach out to the entire population of Norway. Tramfart was released on 11 May 1978. Some of the songs were used in the show Hvem er redd for Frøken Lunde?. The album was well received by music critics and the title cut "Tramfart" came in 9th place on the Norsktoppen. The album was produced by Steinar Ofsdal and Haakon Manheim.
