Description
TORGRIM SOLLID m.fl. - ØSTERDALSMUSIKK (1975) The 1975 album Østerdalsmusikk is one of these pillars on which the expanded Norwegian jazz concept over the last 40 years rests. Trumpetist Torgrim Sollid 40 years ago brought Lars Martin Thomassen, Jan Garbarek, Knut Riisnæs, Alf E. Kjellman, Erling Aksdal jr., Bjørn Alterhaug and Ole Jacob Hansen into the studio to play new hallings, bånsuller, pols, kulokk, bruremarches and guckoos from Østerdalen.
Østerdalsmusikk was a pioneering work that opened doors for both Garnås/Garbareks Rosenfole , Andersen/Bråten Bergs Legend and Bendik Hofseth's Q. The album was released on Plateselskapet Mai in 1975.
