Description
Toned is actually called Frank Tønnesen, comes from Sokndal in Rogaland and is one of the country's most unique songwriters and lyricists. In his lyrics, he uses his dialect to create intricate stories about the small in the big and the big in the small. Frank Tønnesen has released ten albums, four EPs and a novel. He has received, among other things, the Prøysen Prize, the Målungdommens dialect prize, the Rogaland County Council's cultural prize, three Spellemann prizes and is the only one to have been named Sokndøl of the Year twice. He usually enjoys bird tagging, fishing trips and prince's cake. In 2022, he was nominated for the Spellemann for the fifth time in a row, this time for the critically acclaimed album Thilda Bøes Legat .
