Description
Holiday At Wobbledef Grunch 's The Tables second album (if you don't count a split LP under the name Monsters of Doom). It was released on both CD and vinyl in 1997. The LP edition on Kippers Records in Stavanger has become almost impossible to find over time, especially the limited edition with the red and gold cover. Here it took The Tables took their light-hearted pop a step further and also showed darker sides of life, with more fuzz guitar and obscurity, as in the songs "The Blackest Hole In The Universe" and "Terastine Drug Museum" (written by Willy B). But the album also offers a solid collection of songs with The Tables distinctive humorous indipop and imaginative pop-psych that you recognize from the acclaimed debut album from 1990. The record also contains the band's first lyrics in Norwegian, "Kjære alle sammen", a catchy tune that still makes people snort or laugh out loud (depending on your point of view). The record was recorded on 8 tracks by the band themselves, partly on a cabin trip, partly in an apartment in Schweigaards gate in Oslo, and is thus a true DIY release from the Norwegian underground. We will print the cover in gold/red, like on the original.
