THE KIDS – NORSKE JENTER (1980)
The Kids were founded in 1979 with a background from Sør-Trøndelag. Dag Ingebrigtsen came from Trondheim, and the rest of the group members came from Melhus. Some of the members had played together in other contexts before that time.
The Kids' most famous song is "Forelska i lærer'n", which topped both the VG-lista and Norsktoppen in the autumn of 1980. For this song, what is considered to be the first music video of all time was recorded. The video was played on NRK's Zikk Zakk , and it led to the breakthrough for both the group and the song. The debut album Norske jenter sold for platinum. For some reason, the album was never released on CD.
