Description
IN Jazz - as said journalist Terje Mosnes has collected 130 of his interviews with jazz musicians and other players in the jazz field, published over a period of almost 50 years in Dagbladet as well as in, among others, Lyd & Bilde, Jazznytt and on the Norwegian Jazz Forum's website. jazzinorge.no .
First and foremost, we meet performers from the first post-war generations – Jan Garbarek, Terje Rypdal, Arild Andersen – and the many younger musicians who further contributed to placing Norway on the international jazz map in the decades around the turn of the millennium. We also meet some of those who were out earlier – Gunnar Sønstevold, Karin Krog, Bjarne Nerem, Jon Christensen – and together these interviews form one of countless possible stories about the adventurous development of Norwegian jazz over the past 60 years.
