Description

SVEND UNDSETH – GRENSELAND (1979) Svend started his musical career together with Frode Holm in the band Vanessa in 1971. After the first version of Vanessa disbanded, the album City Lips came out in 1973 with a slightly different line-up. Vanessa Black and White came in 1977, again with Frode Holm behind the keys. Svend Undseth released his first solo album Grenseland on Polygram in 1979. This was one of the first ambient/electronic records in Norway, but also had traces of jazz and new wave - and art music that cannot be so easily pigeonholed. On the record, Undseth played all the instruments, except for some help from Per Sveinson and Harald Salater on two tracks. Ten years later, his second solo album Windshave came.
