SILHOUETTE - SILHOUETTE (1984)
Silhouette was a group from Oslo, consisting of Kari Mette Aamot, Siri Lenning Frømyhr and Nina Bayer. The group was put together to support Jahn Teigen in the international final of the Eurovision Song Contest 1983. The following year, in Melodi Grand Prix 1984, the group performed George Keller's and Philip Kruse's "A-oa-oa-oa", which was one of the favorites that year. The song also became a hit afterwards. The girls had singing and dancing experience from Fagerborg High School where they were students. In addition, all three had many years behind them at Kirkenær's ballet school. The performance during Melodi Grand Prix 1984 received the biggest applause of the evening, and presenter Sissel Keyn Lodding said that the number "takes your breath away". Their debut album was released in 1984 and the musicians on the record were (hold on tight!): Diana Nunez, Kari Gjærum, Lena Ericsson, Liza Øhman on choir, Geir Holmsen, Rolf Graf and Rutger Gunnarsson on bass, Bjørn Jenssen, Per Lindvall and Per Hillestad on drums, Frode Alnæs, Janne Schaffer and Svein Dag Hauge on guitar, Atle Bakken, Geir Langslet, Per Kolstad and Peter Ljung on keyboards, and all the songs were written by George Keller and Philip A. Kruse.
