Hip hop group from Hovdebygda in Ørsta, established in 2001, consisting of Runar Gudnason alias Sjef R/Thorstein Hyl III, Bård Aasen Lødemel alias Skatebård, Oddgeir Kristensen alias Odd G, Tore Brevik alias Tore B and Knut Petter Sævik alias Tunk. Lødemel, Kristensen and Sævik have backgrounds in a wide range of projects within electronica, techno and house, while Sjef R began writing lyrics and rapping in 1997 – after he had experienced the Danish hip hop culture up close. He began collaborating with his cousin Bård, and on Christmas Eve 2001 the quartet found its form when they recorded what would become the song "Ein likandes kar". It became the core of their debut Side Brok EP (2002), and the band subsequently received praise in the hip hop magazine Kingsize and an audience via the pages of NRK Urørt. The single "1, 2, 3, fyre" (2003) spent two weeks on the VG-lista, while the debut album Høge brelle (2004) spent eight weeks on the same sales list. At by:Larm 2004 they won VG's award for best live band and NRK's Urørt competition. Musically, the group is inspired by everything from Beastie Boys, The Roots, Digital Underground and Danish Malk de Koijn to dancehall, funk and acid jazz.
