Description

The variety was exceptionally large, with widely different sources of inspiration such as progressive rock, Norwegian folk songs, classical music and heavy metal. The album included the song "All the Time". As vocalist Ove Thue had based the lyrics on a slogan that originated in the United States during the Vietnam War: "Fighting for freedom is like fucking for virginity." This was used as a chorus, which was too strong for the BBC. The British radio station refused to play the album when it was submitted as the Norwegian contribution to the Europatoppen in May 1971. Saft responded by printing "Censored by BBC" on the single's cover - right above a photo of a naked Ove Thue, the rest of the band were also in the photo, but with clothes on. The album was eventually played, but with censorship over the aforementioned verse. Juice became one of the first high-profile groups in Norway to have a band name in Norwegian and release records where they sang in their own mother tongue. The impetus for this came while they were engaged by Den Nationale Scene in Bergen as musicians and actors in the Norwegian version of the hippie musical Hair.
