ROLV WESENLUND – ACROSS THE BORDER (1982)
In his youth, Wesenlund was a jazz musician (clarinet) and won the Norwegian National Jazz Championship twice. He was hired as a jazz journalist for NRK with his own jazz magazine, and was a jazz columnist in Dagbladet. Wesenlund became known on TV as early as the 1960s with the series Og takk for det from 1969. There he played sketches together with Harald Heide-Steen jr. (the duo Wesensteen), Gunnar Haugan, Kirsti Sparboe and Kari Simonsen. In 1982, he released this album as a kind of homage to the Swedes, and the album contains jazz and joking.
