Ricochet was formed by Fredrikstad boys Trond Andreassen (vocals), Alexander Kloster-Jensen (guitar), Kjetil Hansen (keyboards), Ole Bjerkebakke (drums) and Knut-Øyvind Olsen (bass) in 1998. The band disbanded in 2001 and reunited the following year. In 2009 they disbanded again, and reunited in 2019. Ricochets was one of the winning bands during Zoom 1998 and was sent on the subsequent Zoom tour in Norway, England and Scotland in the spring of 1999. The band's first release was the single "Devil Inside/Dont Bring Me Down" on Fredrikstad-based Dead Cool Records in the spring of 1999. The single was followed by The Drinkin' EP on the company Underground Records later that year. The debut album, Slo-Mo Suicide , came out in 2000 and received very good reviews from both music critics and the public. The Ghost Of Our Love was album number two. In 2005, the last album was released, titled Isolation .
