Description
Rock group from Oslo, formed in April 1980. The band was one of the first to start their own label, and within a couple of years evolved from punk to synth-based dark rock. Their sources of inspiration included contemporary bands as diverse as Joy Division, Residents and Pere Ubu.
…SOMA… was to be a double album and was to be released in 1982. The music was in many ways unique in the Oslo environment with bands like The Cut, De Press, The Cure, who were all inspirations for PVC, PolyVinylChloride. The music was described as elegantly dystopian.
The line-up in 1982 consisted of Rune Martinsen (bass), Jørn Loe (guitar, synth, miscellaneous) and Knut Erik Sandlie on vocals.
