Description
PLANN - PLANNMETALL (1983)
Plann found its beginnings in Oslo sometime in 1981, and consisted of Kikkan Fossum, previously known from The Cut, Lillie-Ane Johansson (Norway's answer to Kate Bush?) and Thore "Ato Strato" Engen. The debut LP Elektra Elektra was released in 1982, and contained contributions from both Andrej Nebb and The Cut drummer Arne Lund. The music is a kind of mixture of contemporary synthpop and more abstract creations, filled out by Engen's creative guitar playing. The following year came Plannmetall , which was a far heavier affair. Like a mix of Deep Purple and The Kinks it said in one of the reviews.
