Per Bergersen was a young, talented musician from Røros. Many had predicted a promising musical career for him. Instead, he was shot and killed in his own home by a friend in June 1990. He was only 30 years old. According to the friend, the shots were fired after Bergersen 's own wish. The day before the murder, he filled Bergersen Thomasgården in Røros was packed when he held his first proper solo concert. Bergersen 's music ranges from punk to folk songs, but it is his lyrics that he is best known for. In the 1980s he released a flexi-single with the song "Duejakt" which was included in an issue of Gateavisa. The magazine describes Bergersen as a handicraft variant of Syd Barrett , a musician with strong, personal and committed lyrics, and a man with great potential. He never managed to release an album. At the funeral, his friends decided to release an album with the best songs posthumously. The LP PB was printed in 1000 copies and the proceeds went to Røros Fritidsklubb. The album has become an important treasure for collectors and goes for many thousands of kroner at online auctions. Now a double LP will be released, where Ove Testad of Røros Fritidsklubb and Arvid Skancke-Knutsen will find songs from the archive, in addition to the songs from PB . The album will be released on double vinyl with gatefold sleeve.
