Päronsoda , the Kongsvinger duo consisting of Marius Våreid and Espen Enger, became known for their sample-based fusion of hip hop, jazz and cool techno, also known as trip hop. In the mid-90s, Våreid and Enger began making music together under the name Frydenstund. Inspired by funk, jazz, techno and disco, the boys patched together fragments from their record collections and topped it all off with Norwegian rap. Not long after, they changed their name to Phileas Fog , dropped rapping and debuted with the album The Lost Adventures of Princess Summer Fall Winter Spring in 1997 . A year later, the duo changed their name to Pear soda and relaxed A Nightclub In Tunisia . The album was well received in the media and awarded the Spellemannpris in the "dance" category. The record has never been released on vinyl - until now! - and will include bonus tracks.
