NEW JORDAL SWINGERS - NJS LIVE!
A "high-octane" NJS begins with a total of 9 songs from 1975 and shows once and for all why this band gained its position in rock'n'roll here at home. Eventually, the original songs, primarily written by Eigil Berg, took over, but the stage version of the band still shows that they feel at home in cover versions from heroes like Nick Lowe, John Hiatt, Springsteen and both Presley and Costello. Chuck Berry is of course well represented and so are solid original hits like "1958", "Railroad Man", "Eilas" and "Tornerose". We get memories from NJS' numerous concerts in Oslo Concert Hall and tours around the country, here is even an Eigil Berg original that only got its stage version from the band, but which never came on record - until now! These recordings are taken from concert halls and intimate clubs over several decades and show a band in development, but still with its solid roots in rock'n'roll!
