WARLOCKS – TOP NOTCH (1997)

The rap group "Warlocks of Mayhem" was founded in 1992 by twins André "Tech Rock" Eriksen and Kevin "Karma" Eriksen, together with their friends Haakon "Hawk" Lund, Jan Erik "Small MC" Nøkleby and Kenneth "Kennybong" Engen in 1992. "Warlocks of Mayhem" was closely associated with the environment around Blitzhuset in Oslo. They held their first concerts there and were interviewed by the blitz newspaper Smørsyra. The name was later changed to just Warlocks. Nøkleby and Engen left shortly after and started their own group, Valuable Scamps. Warlocks has released five albums and has also contributed to albums with artists such as Diaz, Tommy Tee and Ken Ring. They made their album debut in 1995 with the album Lyrical Marksmen , but it was not until Top Notch two years later that their big commercial breakthrough came, with the songs "VOT Click", "The Way My Mind Works" and not least "Backflash" at the forefront.
