LIFE BUT HOW TO LIVE IT? – LIFE BUT HOW TO LIVE IT? (1989) // TORGNY AMDAM
Life ... But How To Live It? - Life, But How To Live It? Oslo, 1989. A decade in which blitzers and the police had met at regular intervals for demonstrations and basket roofs in the streets came to an end. The year culminated in two events which, in very different ways, have left kilometer-deep traces in Norwegian music life: on 1 May, right-wing extremists threw firebombs into the Blitz house, while 200 people were present at a concert. And the punk band Life .... But How To Live It? released his self-titled debut album. In the following years, the band played hundreds of concerts, made the pønk route through Germany their second home, and set the hearts of young, hungry, angry radicals on fire throughout Norway.
Torgny Amdam (born 1974) became part of the punk and hardcore scene in Oslo at the end of the 1980s. He was a vocalist in Amulet, has made music for film and theatre, and has also released a number of ground-breaking solo albums. Amdam is also a media expert, and in recent years has attracted attention with the podcast Making music. The book about the debut album for Life ... But How To Live It? will be his first.
