In the spring of 2011, Falck Forlag and Morgenbladet contacted a hundred Norwegian musicians, and invited them all to submit their ranked top ten lists. First place earned ten points, second place nine, and so on. Taken together, these hundred lists form a large joint list: Morgenbladet top 100, the best records in Norwegian history, voted for by the musicians themselves. In autumn 2011, the list was presented in Morgenbladet.
This book contains all the hundred top ten lists. In addition, it contains one hundred mini-essays, one about each record, written by Morgenbladet writers, other writers, authors and musicians. Among others, Jan Erik Vold, Jenny Hval, Tor Erik Hermansen, Johan Harstad, Ina Blom and Sten Inge Jørgensen.
