Norway's most sought-after hard rock CD with vocalist Tove (ex-Tindrum) is finally available again. With bonus tracks!
When MissLead released Gentle Persuasion in 1989, the band was already well established. Since the band was first formed in 1981 in Jessheim, it would take a few lineup changes before the band could hone their own form of powerful hard rock, but MissLead were ambitious and began writing their own material early on.
In 1988, Tove took the job as vocalist in then-ex-TNT drummer Diesel Dahl's new band Tindrum, where she did the recordings and subsequent tour for the album Drums of War , which was a national success in every way.
The following year, MissLead was once again the focus of Tove and the band recorded their debut album Gentle Persuasion which was released in the fall on cassette, LP and CD with the seven-inch "Heartbeat" released on vinyl single ahead of the full album. MissLead continued to work, but it was not until 1993, after adjustments to both the musical direction and the line-up, that the band finally decided to throw in the towel. Subsequently, the band's only release has emerged as one of the rarer Norwegian hard rock titles on CD, and for example, an original copy can currently be purchased for the tidy sum of €720.00 on Discogs.
In these difficult times, Rock Of Norway, in collaboration with Christer Falck's C+C Records, would like to announce that Gentle Persuasion will be reissued on CD, 35 years after the album first saw the light of day. A never-so-small anniversary, in other words!
Gentle Persuasion is now finally being reissued on CD, remastered and with 5 extra songs, a supplementary booklet and jewel case similar to previous releases from Rock Of Norway.
