MARIT MATHIESEN MED PARFYME - MARIT MATHIESEN MED PARFYME (1981)Marit Mathiesen is a Norwegian former singer and rock singer with several record releases. She moved to Tromsø (1967) where in the 1970s she ran the band Småfolk, and as a member of Ungdomslaget Ny Von became nationally known for the performance of Sverre Kjelsberg's "Ellinor's Wise". Mathiesen also had a much-played women's political composition, Tenk om... Back then, all Norwegian music was political, and the politically determined Tromsøjenta quickly became a name to reckon with. After another record on Mai, where she fronted the group Parfyme, she was considered one of the leaders in her genre. The album was on for 4 weeks VG list and ended with 29th place as the best position.
