MARIT MATHISEN - GALE HJERTE (1984)
Marit Mathisen grew up in Tromsø, lives in Oslo and moves in the intersection between rock, pop and shows. She is responsible for one of the 80's favorites in Norwegian pop: "Tenk om". Prior to her solo career, Marit Mathiesen had her own band in the 70s which she called Småfolk. At the end of the decade, she became a member of the vice group Ny Von, which became known for its interpretation of "Ellinor's Vice" by Sverre Kjelsberg. "Tenk om" was the title cut of her first self-titled LP. The catchy rock song with erotic undertones became a radio favorite and made Marit Mathiesen nationally famous. In the wake of the success of "Tenk om", Mathiesen put together a new band called Parfyme. The music was now turned towards a more jazzy direction, a style that was followed up on Mathiesen's third album, Gale hjerte , from 1984. After three records, Marit Mathiesen retired from artist life to concentrate on family life, before later making a comeback.
