King Midas is from Oslo and debuted in 1994. They won the Spellemannprisen 2013 in the rock category for the album Rosso . The music style of King Midas is strongly influenced by disco, and is suitable for dancing and nightclubs. The lyrics are lyrical and occasionally have a melancholic tone in the music. The name King Midas is taken from Greek mythology. The group had a commercial breakthrough with Romeo Turn from 2003. The band consisted of Ando Woltmann (vocals, guitar), Hansi Fritzner (guitar), Per Vigmostad (bass), Sonny Ohlsen (keyboards) and Sven Martin Jørgensen (drums). The Jaguars was released on Vertigo in 2005.
