KENNETH SIVERTSEN – AMALGAMATION (1985)

Kenneth Sivertsen was a Norwegian guitarist, singer, artist, composer and humorist. Throughout his career, Sivertsen composed and performed music in a variety of styles, such as classical music, folk songs, jazz, pop, contemporary music and rock. He also created music for film, ballet and theatre. In 1981 he wrote his first symphony, Håp , which was premiered by the Oslo Philharmonic Orchestra three years later. In 1983 Sivertsen released his first album, Einsamflygar , and throughout the 1980s Sivertsen became known through various appearances on TV and radio, and through extensive touring – including with Karl Seglem and Jan Eggum. In 1984 he composed his second symphony, Timeglaset og Morgonstjerna and the following year the jazz album Amalgamation followed. Here Kenneth plays guitar, while he is accompanied by Bjørn Kjellemyr on bass, Knut Riisnæs on saxophone and Terje Isungset on percussion.
