Karen Jo Fields is a Norwegian-American singer-songwriter who made her album debut in 2000 with Embrace Me . She has a Norwegian mother, while her father was an American Cherokee Indian. Her father was a musician, and Fields grew up in a musical home, first in Arizona in the USA, then in Oslo. Her debut album Embrace Me received good reviews and many called her "Norway's Joni Mitchell". It eventually sold over 7000 copies. The follow-up Chase The Blue became a P1 favorite and her third album, In Your Pages , was a little more demanding, but perhaps the one that has stood out the best since then. From the pop gem “Off The Ground”, the country banger “Sweetheart from your Hometown”, the fantastic ballad “Purchasing New Hearts” and the Cohen cover “Famous Blue Raincoat”. Simply a hidden gem.
