Karen Jo Fields is a Norwegian-American singer-songwriter who made her album debut in 2000 with Embrace Me . Fields grew up in a musical home, first in Arizona, USA, then in Oslo. Embrace Me received good reviews when it was released, and Fields was called "Norway's Joni Mitchell" by many. The album eventually sold over 7,000 copies, and the title song gained a new lease of life after being used in the film "The Woman in My Life" in 2003. The album was originally released on Frode Records, and Frode Lia was both producer and bassist.
