JON EBERSON GROUP – STORIES (1985)
The Jon Eberson Group was an award-winning Norwegian jazz rock group led by guitarist and composer Jon Eberson. Key members in the group were Sidsel Endresen vocals, Geir Holmsen on bass, Atle Bakken on keyboard instruments and Bjørn Jenssen on drums. In 1981, they debuted with the album Jive Talking and in 1985 their fourth, Stories , with seven texts over a cycle of poems. It sold just over 5,000. The group was nevertheless nominated for the Spellman of the Year class at the Spellman Prize 1985, but lost to A-ha and their Hunting High and Low.
