In 1970, Medaas retired from artistic life for a few years to concentrate on farming in Alversund. Be happy with the nose you have. from 1975 marked the start of a new, successful period. He now began to collaborate with a number of the country's leading artists. On the record, he was accompanied by a number of prominent guests, such as Øystein Dolmen and Gustav Lorentzen (listed as a backing band) and Øystein Sunde on steel guitar.
