IVAR MEDAAS – Å DU, Å DU! (1978)

Ivar Medaas (born 9 April 1938, died 7 January 2005) was a Norwegian singer from Alversund in Lindås in Nordhordland. He became nationally known with the song "Dar kjem dampen", which was a tribute to the liner DS "Oster". The text was written by the deaf priest Ragnvald Hammer. Together with his wife Kari Medaas, he released a number of shows and albums under the name Vestlandsduoen. On Å Du, Å Du produced Øystein Sunde, while the band consisted of Lillebjørn Nilsen, Åsmund Snortheim, Espen Rud, Trond Villa and Sunde himself.
