INGER LISE – SIGN LANGUAGE (1980)
Rypdal had a breakthrough in 1968 as a pop artist with Terje Mosnes' Norwegian versions of the songs "Romeo og Julie" and "Fru Johnsen", and was the dominant female artist in Norwegian popular music in the 1970s. Rypdal won the Spellemann prize in 1973. The album Sign Language is her seventh studio album. The music was recorded at Pye Studios in London with English producer Henry Hadaway. The vocals were added in Talent Studio. "Feels Like Heaven" and "I Want Love" were released as singles in Norway, while "Everything That's Part Of You" was launched abroad without success. The album spent 4 weeks on the VG list in 1980 with a 19th place as the best listing.
