HEART OF MARY - GREETINGS FROM STUCKVILLE (1989)

Heart of Mary was a rock band from Kongsvinger from 1986 to 1989. The band consisted of Denis Kamphaug/Denis Decay (songwriter, vocalist and guitar), Levi Henriksen (songwriter/bass), Anders Bøhnsdalen (guitar) and Kai O. Tønnessen, percussion.
Kamphaug and Henriksen previously played in Blundertown (1983–1985.) Heart of Mary made their record debut in the spring of 1988 with I've got the Harry Truman Shivers, on the compilation LP Rock'n'roll Stowaways - published by That's Entertainment records. In 1988, the band was also nominated for Tore Olsen's rock fund prize and toured, among other places, to Hulen in Bergen, Studentersamfundet and 3B in Trondheim, Sardine's in Oslo. In 1988, the band won NRK/Ungdommens Radioavis' national rock band competition with the song "Albert Einstein Never Lived in my Hometown", without being able to get a record contract for that reason - despite a lot of media coverage and television appearances. The debut album Greetings from Stuckville came in 1989, released on its own label, A Rose for Emily Records.
