With his broken Norwegian, his German origins and his wild holiday travels, he thrilled the listeners of Reiseradioen for several years. Totto Osvold wanted me to create a radio character in Reiseradioen. We exchanged ideas and decided that we would "create" a tourist manager for foreigners on holiday trips to Norway. A characteristic of the tourist manager was to be his wild ideas, said Harald Heide Steen jr. They often sat on the lawn outside the Broadcasting House with a tape player when we made the sketches about the tourist manager. Most often, the second recording was the best, he said.
