Description
Geirr Lystrup started his recording career in 1972 with the collection Ti på taket og måltrostblues. He compared making his debut on a record to forgetting to put on his clothes in the morning, and then walking naked into the schoolyard. The songs were all taken from the book Egon Gruph's journey in reality, which was a combined ballad novel and textbook with guitar accompaniment. Musically, Lystrup emerged as an artist in a class with the best in the ballad wave of the early 70s, and the album was also nominated for the Spellemannprisen. The producer was Knut Petter Knutsen, and the ensemble behind Lystrup consisted of seasoned jazz musicians.
