Description
THE GEILOKAMERATEN – THERE IS NO SHAME IN TURN (1980)
There is no shame in turning around , with the subtitle "A sports and outdoor album by the Geilokameratene", is a fun album recorded by Rolv Wesenlund, Harald Heide-Steen jr. and Ole Paus in 1980. The album was released on Ole Paus' own record label Zarepta. Paus also appears on the cover and is credited for lyrics and music together with Heide-Steen and Wesenlund. The album was produced by Ole Paus. Trygve Thue is credited for sound. The album appeared on VG's album list for two weeks in 1980 with a best position of 16th. The album, which lasts just under 50 minutes, has two music tracks and the rest are sketches. The format is a fictional radio magazine. The track "For de minste" is a parody of a children's program, see "Dodraugen". The motifs and themes of the sketches are sports, outdoor activities and "holidays in the mountains", with Geilos Holms hotel as the starting point and alcohol as the undeniable subtext. Ole Paus, Rolv Wesenlund and Harald Heide Steen Jr. are pictured on the cover outside the hotel, and this is presumably where the album was recorded.
