Description
The Gardener's Lodge started in Oslo in 1987 and were mostly inactive between 1996 and 2010. They released the albums Krem Fjes (1994) and Due (1995) as well as a number of EPs and demo cassettes, as well as the compilation album Adjø Kreativitet . Before, during and after this, a bunch of records were released, ranging from Gartnerlosjen , on Duplex Records. The album release by Due (which was originally supposed to be called Duk and was to be wrapped in tablecloths) was launched in 1995 as a full-day seminar for the press at the Royal Christiania Hotel in Oslo, where the band held a series of lectures, showed overheads and boasted about themselves for eight hours. The album was also promoted with a festive animated film that was shown on ZTV. The cover was also nominated for the Spellemannprisen for best cover that year (CD in box with planting card and seeds).
