FRODE THINGNÆS – FLÅKLYPABALLETTEN (1984)
Flåklypaballetten (first performed in 1983) was a Norwegian production by the Norwegian Opera and National Ballet, based on Kjell Aukrust's saga about Flåklypa. It had the French name Le grand ballett Norvegien de Rustadsaga. The choreography was by Toni Herlofson and Gro Rakeng. The latter had the initial idea (1980). The premiere was originally planned for 1982, but was postponed until 1 December 1983. The music was written by Frode Thingnæs, performed by the opera orchestra, and released on double LP. This was nominated for the Spellemannprisen 1986 in Open class¨.
