The Reaper of souls album sums up the collective rage, commitment and consumption of vegan protein powder consumed by a sextet of straight edgers from Hommersåk, raised on Iron Maiden, Earth Crisis and fresh mountain air. The heavily tattooed guys became genuine road dogs both at home and abroad, which among other things secured them the Alarm prize for best live band in 2006, while the county fellers in Kaizers Orchestra had to settle for a nomination. Ten thousand downstrokes from x-ed right hands later, the full-length still feels as potent, raw and meaningful as in the year of release. What was the secret?
