Description
Finn Coren has set 20 poems by the English poet, painter and mystic William Blake to music. The album was released on CD, but has never been on LP. If we reach our goal, we will press a double LP with gatefold sleeve.
About 10 years before I draumar fær du , Finn Coren was nominated for the Spellemann for The Blake Project: Spring (1997). The album consists of Coren's settings of poems by the English poet, painter and mystic William Blake (1757 - 1827). The album received very good reviews in both Norway and Denmark and also received some praise in Blake circles in the USA and England. In addition to Finn Coren on vocals (acoustic guitar and piano), several of Norway's leading musicians participate, such as Nils-Arne Øvergård (guitar), Fredrik Pfefferkorn Sager (guitar), Kyrre Sætran (bass, guitar), Bugge Wesseltoft (keyboards), Jon-Willy Rydningen (el. piano), Lars Pedersen (drums) and Anders Engen (drums). Spring, like many of Coren's albums, is full of extremes, from experimental indie rock to ballads.
The album comes as a double gatefold with two inserts where Blake's poems and some selected illustrations are printed. The album is produced by Finn Coren, Nils-Arne Øvergård, Eystein Hopland and Ulf W.Ø Holand. An indie classic in Norwegian rock can now finally be released on vinyl for the first time.
