The album has 12 fresh songs by the group that has been around since 1988, with varying lineups, but always with Ulf Risnes as the main character. Ulf has written all the songs, and they are dressed in the Chinese's usual beautiful acoustic costume, with guitar, piano, lots of singing and not least double bass. The songs have varying themes, but most of them this time are focused on love. This from a band that has mostly stayed away from the most used theme in popular music. The album is kept in a stripped-down costume, true to producer Fritzner's vision that it should sound like an "evening in the same room as Three Little Chinese." The album contains several songs that have been released as singles, "Klokka Tikke", "Helt Hjem" and "Kyss I Mørket". At the same time as the album release comes the single "Verden Va Vårres" It is 2025 and the world is off its hinges, perhaps even more than usual. Then it might be good to remember back to when the world felt a little friendlier, more understandable, and perhaps more like "ours". Tre Små Kinesere's new single is a nostalgic treat that fits well into the ranks of other retrospective songs the group has released, such as "Det Har Vi Aldri Glemt" (2017), "Klassebildet" (1994) and Soleplassland (1990). This time we are with Ulf and the Munkvollgjengen in the time around 1980, and we are taken to Saturdays spent at "Slottet", Kyvannet and in Volvo Amazon around the Trondheim area. And Springsteen himself is there, on the car stereo. Tre Små Kinesere's new album was recorded in Krypten Lyd og Fanteri in Trondheim on some warm spring days in May 2024.
