Description
ERLING BONDE – IN THE FARMER'S FIELD (1973)
Erling Bonde is a Norwegian musician, singer, composer, pianist and guitarist. He first became known when he, Tom Mathisen and Jan Rodahl played together in the pop group SNU. In 1970 he made his debut on the Nordstrandrevyen as an actor, and after that he was determined to become a recording artist. In 1973 he made his recording debut as a solo artist with the album I Bonde's aker , which showed the composer and singer as a solo artist. It contained five poems by Arne Paasche Aasen – including "Vil du gjøre verden bedre", Bonde's perhaps best-known setting of Paasche Aasen – and three by Herman Wildenvey. Bonde also contributed four of his own lyrics as well as all the melodies. The album was produced by Pete Knutsen, and among the musicians were members of Popol Vuh and Jahn Teigen himself singing on the song "Sirkus-Jack".
