ERLEND ROPSTAD – BURN THE LAST LETTER (2019)
Erlend Ropstad is from Vennesla. He debuted with the EP The Magnetic Tapes in 2006. The following year, his first album, Bright Late Nights , was released. In 2013, he began singing in Norwegian, and released Hva om det ikke er sång som du tros at det er, which also started his critical success. Ropstad was nominated for the Bendiksenprisen in 2018 and a few years later he was awarded the Prøysenprisen and released the critically acclaimed album Brenn siste brevet , which was nominated for the Spellemannprisen 2019 in the rock category. Lars Winnerbeck and Thåstrøm are often mentioned when describing his music, and the album contains modern classics such as "Exit the Dragon", "Natta som er over nå" and "Menneske, kjære menneske". Brenn siste brevet was named the best Norwegian album of the year by 40 prominent critics.
