Ellen Helen Nikolaysen (born 10 December 1951 in Oslo) is a Norwegian singer and actress. Nikolaysen began her career when she won NRK's ​​Talent '70. She participated in the Eurovision Song Contest as part of the Bendik Singers in 1973, and in the same year she released the album Freckles, where she got help from Pete Knutsen on the organizer side and did covers of everything from Carole King and Laura Nyro to John Lennon. The record was also released, in a somewhat different form, in 1974 in Japan under the name You Made Me Feel I Could Fly. She was nominated for the Spellemannprisen in 1973 and 1976.
