Description
Club 7 was a countercultural phenomenon in Oslo that operated between 1963 and 1985. The club's diversity was at the intersection of blues, theater, rock, photography, singing, film, jazz, gallery management, restaurant management, literature and poetry. Club 7 even had its own library. But first and foremost, it was a gathering place for musicians and music enthusiasts. In 1978, a series of concerts were taped in connection with the club's 15th anniversary, and a selection of the songs found their way to this double album. Here we find unique and unreleased songs by, among others, Bryggerigangen Bluesband, E'Olen, Lotus, Kråbøl and Ditlef Eckhoff Kvintett. Among the musicians on the album are Calle Neuman, Sveinung Hovensjø, Jon Christensen, Nipe Nyrén, Miki N'Doye, Håkon Graf, Espen Rud and Jon Balke.
