DAGFINN NORDBØ // ODD BØRRETZEN/LARS MARTIN MYHRE – NOEN GANGER ER DET ALL RIGHT
NO ONE SAW IT COMING. The story of the record success «Noen ganger er det all right»
Odd Børretzen and Lars Martin Myhre released the record in 1995, and to the artists' enormous astonishment, it sold close to 200,000 copies. The title song, which was named "Tidenes Norske Hit", is a calm jazz ballad in 5/4 time where this elderly man finally repeats the chorus seven times! This is the story of how a narrow cultural expression won the hearts of the Norwegian people, with lyrics by a seventy-year-old satirist who had no desire to make records or stand on stage at all, but rather just be on a boat in the summer, drinking his red wine and smoke his pipe.
Dagfinn Nordbø is a satirist with thirty years of experience from the comedy scene. He wrote regularly for NRK's "Hallo i Uken", and is now suffering from premature retirement from VG. He is a columnist in Dag og Tid, and plays around with Det Norske Poesi & Satireorkester, with pianist Vigleik Storaas and bassist Gaute Storaas. Books: "What are we laughing at? - Conversations about humor" (Aschehoug 2014) and the brick "HUMOR - Learn from the best comedians and copywriters" (Solum Bokvennen 2020).
