Funk + Old-School HipHop + Breakdance Music = THE BUMP SQUAD
After working with a number of high-quality pop artists (Gabrielle, Margaret Berger, K-Pop etc.) producer and multi-instrumentalist Tomas Nerbø Smågesjø (aka DJ Don Tomaso) was desperate to find an eccentric Funk partner. He didn't have to look far, because Petter Aagaard (aka DJ Re-Pete) literally landed in his lap, via a UFO, after his successful musical journey as the vocalist in the critically acclaimed band Galactic Funk (their debut album “We Come in PEZ” ended up on the Top-10 list of one of the best Funk albums of 2019.)
Together they quickly agreed that what the world needs now, in these Corona times, is of course more Breakdance music. Dirty, analog, freaky and bombastic are just a few words to describe this funky duo. They needed a name, and they found it: THE BUMP SQUAD.
“WEIRD IS THE NEW COOL!” is their crazy, anti-Jantelov debut album, and it's Part 1, in their CAPSLOCK Trilogy.
