BOBBYSOCKS – BOBBYSOCKS (1985)
Bobbysocks was a Norwegian duo consisting of Hanne Krogh and Elisabeth Andreasson (later Andreassen). Bobbysocks released their debut LP in 1984. It included the single "I Don't Wanna Break My Heart". The LP sold over 20,000 copies in Norway and Sweden. During the 1985 Melodi Grand Prix, Bobbysocks participated with "La det swinge", written by Rolf Løvland. They faced stiff competition from Anita Skorgan with the song "Karma", but ultimately won and advanced to the Eurovision Song Contest 1985 in Gothenburg, where they won by a landslide. In the summer of 1985, they embarked on the summer tour Swingin' Tour 85 in Norway. They also re-released their debut album, and included the English version of the winning song; Let It Swing.
