Description
ASPHALT – GET IT OUT (1983)
Asfalt was a rock band from Stavanger, Norway, formed in 1980 by keyboardist and songwriter Tor Salomonsen. With lyrics in dialect, the band, along with the Stavanger Ensemblet and Mods, became part of the Stavanger Wave in Norwegian rock in the early 1980s. The band released two albums on the record label MAI before the record label went bankrupt in 1983. At the same time, vocalist Magne Høyland left and was replaced by Mia Gundersen. With a new vocalist, the band recorded a new self-financed album, but disbanded before it was released in 1984.
