Description
Anita Skorgan lived her first years in Gothenburg, before moving to Norway at the age of seven. By then she had already won a talent competition on SVT's Hylans Hörna and released her first EP of classical music. From there, the road went to girls' choirs and ballet recitals, before she, as a 17-year-old, was invited to Arne Bendiksen's studio to record her first solo album. From 1975 until the 90s, she released many albums. Usually under his own name in Norwegian, but also Swedish albums, disco albums together with George Keller's George K Band, duets with Jahn Teigen and a number of single tracks from films, children's records, scout records, classical records, musicals and Grand Prix songs in many different languages . Getting a handle on Anita's career is a difficult task, but it has swept across most genres, from classical, pop music, children's music, funk and disco, shows, film music and rock. Anita has also participated as a chorister on hundreds of records in the period 1975-1990.
We now present Anita Skorgan's collected works 1973-2001 - a 16 CD box, with 87 bonus tracks. These bonus tracks contain singles, b-sides, individual songs from compilation albums, tribute albums and promotional cassettes, songs from NRK's archives, Anita as a guest on other people's albums. The record will be released on her 65th birthday!
