ANDERSEN / PLEYM - HAVE YOUR OWN FEELING, HAVE YOUR OWN WAY (1971)
Kjell Arne Pleym and Rolf Mareno Andersen grew up in Bjørnevatn, near Kirkenes. They played together since the fifth grade, and decided in 1971 to make a record of their own songs. The recording took place in the school's music room, with fairly primitive equipment. Have Your Own Feeling, Have Your Own Way was printed in 250 copies, and was reportedly sold continuously during an Interrail journey in Europe. The LP record has long been a sought-after and rare collector's item. Both Andersen and Pleym later became members of St. Helena. In 2010, Have Your Own Feeling, Have Your Own Way was reissued by the German record company Mayfair Music, who equipped it with three extra tracks, as well as a new booklet. Pleym went out of time in 2008. There have been plans to follow up the LP from 1971, with a further 15 tracks that were all created in the period 1968-1972.
